This cocktail cabinet has class, elegance and just a touch of attitude.
This dramatic, bow-fronted, cocktail cabinet by J Sydney Smith of Otley, in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, looks like it’s masquerading as a chest of drawers.
But don’t be fooled. The 3 drawers open as a cupboard door, revealing plenty of storage space for your bottles, glassware, shakers, and other drink essentials.
The surface area of the cabinet has a new glass top, making it easy to clean. The pull-out preparation shelf, and spacious drawer, give you added storage and ample room for practicing your mixology skills.
The main frame of the piece has been beautifully reimagined using a deep, luxurious, jewelled tone paint called Black Cherry.
The original hardware has been cleaned, preened, and varnished, and there are even some gorgeous golden highlights added to the drawers, which give this piece a little more refinement and just make everything “pop”.
Finally, the whole cabinet has been nourished with an water-based varnish, to ensure it will withstand the thrills and spills of any cocktail evening.
And the resulting piece is a one-off, eye-catching cocktail cabinet that’s as functional as it is striking.
