Sweep through the day - or the night - with quiet power in the Morticia Maxi Dress, a study in dark sophistication. Designed for those who favour wit and mystery over the ordinary, this piece balances a sultry silhouette with scholarly restraint. The soft jersey bodice hugs gently, evoking a sense of ease and confidence, while the lightweight utility skirt falls with effortless drama, catching light and shadow in equal measure. High neck, long sleeves, and a precise waistline create a shape that’s both intelligent and irresistibly enigmatic - the kind of dress that makes an entrance without saying a word.
Though the silver pin pictured isn’t included, it hints at endless styling possibilities - add your own talisman, a statement brooch, or one of our new Folklore Shawl’s for a touch of contrast. Choose from Rouge, Grey Marl, or Warm Brown to bundle your look and complete the Morticia mood.

2 for 1!
Two iterations of an Ernest Hemingway classic short story. Burt Lancaster kicks it off with the 1946 version followed by the Lee Marvin led 1964 version. Both are great and plenty of criterion extras making this among my favorite spine in their awesome collection. There’s also a Russian student take on the short story adding a third version of a great story. Highly recommended and if it’s 50% a must buy. I already owned it and gave this as a gift who instantly called me two days later with high praise of the films.

Excellent, classic noir. Launched Burt Lancaster and Ava Gardners careers.

A Favorite All-Time Classic
I've always enjoyed this classic film. Ava Gardner is my favorite all-time actress. She's great in the role of Kitty. Burt Lancaster is also fine as the torn man in love with a woman he struggles to have. This is based on one of Hemingway's short stories, and they did a fine job. Same with the remake in 1964 with Lee Marvin and Clu Gulagher. You will not be disappointed in either version, but my favorite is the orignal.

1 Ernest Hemingway story, 2 different movie takes, very cool.
I like value. Two movie versions of a cool story for the price of one, I am in.
The Burt Lancaster version is film noir cool, while the Lee Marvin has that manic 60’s television feel. The Lee Marvin version gets bonus for Ronald Reagan’s portrayal of the heavy. He is quite menacing.
